I mean, really. I post and post, and you don’t come here to read.
Other way around.
I am here!
The new job is going wonderfully well; I am thankful for the move, and for the opportunity provided. I would go into detail about what I’m doing, but really, that’d be boring, wouldn’t it? Let’s just say it’s finally a happy balance between mentally stimulating and organizationally satisfying; and I’m even getting used to waking up at 5:30 in the morning. Who knew that was possible?
I must say that the best thing about the new job are the mornings. Granted, I love my bed, but now Len and I actually eat breakfast together, and then have a good 15 minutes before his ride arrives to just sit and chat, and be together (we actually snuggle on the couch, but I don’t want to offend anyone’s sensibilities… teehee!). It’s become my favourite part of the day.
Yesterday at church Alice and I had the chance to see Oom George, and speak with him briefly. He’s in Canada until Tuesday, visiting our cousin, so it was at least good to be able to see him for a few minutes, give him a hug, and steal sidelong glances at his profile during the sermon to see how closely he resembles Mom. And then they were off, and that was that!
And thusly, life continues…
Today we had our first taste of winter. The cedars that flank our front window are completely destroyed due to freezing rain. Perhaps they realized that they were being cut down come spring anyway, so they gave up the good fight and lay down on the front lawn. What troopers!
For now, I bid you all a sweet good night. I must needs sleep.
